The United States has the fourth-highest poverty rate, despite being the largest economy in the world. Wealth inequality is growing. What types of inequality exist in America? Why is there inequality in America? As followers of Jesus, how can we partner to move toward justice?

Youth will learn the difference between equality and equity, discuss root causes of poverty, inequality, and the systems that perpetuate injustice. Youth will have extensive conversations about the effects of systemic racism on income inequality.

Groups will also talk with community leaders and faith-based organizations that advocate on behalf of vulnerable and low-income communities.
